The Department not only offers the students to explore fundamental Physics but also promotes applied and interdisciplinary research. The Department’s aim is to nurture the student’s talent in the area of core and applied physics, and ignite enthusiasm, interest and passion in the study of physics in relation with the professional course as a part of the curriculum. Also, to promote the students in the field of interdisciplinary research.
As the Head of the Department, it is my duty to run the department with regularity, punctuality and in a disciplined manner. I assure that every staff of our department always maintains a good relation with students, and will motivate them in their regular academic activities with more efficiency.
Tumakuru – the educational capital of Karnataka, is like any typical south Indian moderate-sized city in terms of the weather. It is evolving city with relatively moderate population density, clean environment, replete with many places of interest and tourist attractions, shrines nearby. Message from HOD - Chemistry
Welcome to department of chemistry at SIET. As a department, we are enthusiastic to do very best science. Our aim is to provide a world class environment in terms of education, work culture, and research. The department was established in the year 2002. Our undergraduate program offers an innovative research based curriculum that provides students with outstanding training in a wide display of chemical disciplines including analytical, biological, environmental, inorganic, materials, organic, physical, and theoretical chemistry.
The faculty members in our department are highly experienced, motivated young researchers. During the program, all the students will have chance to work with faculty on cutting edge problems. The knowledge and skill that a student gains at the end of the program will be highly useful for his/her professional development.

Message from HOD - Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics has been an integral part of our Institution since its inception in the year 2002. The department can be considered as the backbone of all engineering departments since it strives towards enhancing the skills of the students in the areas of basic mathematics and its application to problem solving in their respective engineering disciplines.
The highly qualified, experienced and dedicated staff members in the department provide the best quality mathematics education to the students as per and beyond the curriculum, preparing the students to confidently face the real world challenges as engineers. Our faculty members are actively involved in research activities and have published papers in various national and international reputed journals.
